5x5x5=creativity & Kingston Uni – CPD Event

Please see below for information on a cpd event for teachers, early years practitioners and learning/outreach staff from cultural organisations, in the Borough of Kingston and surrounding area –

Supporting Children in Their Exploration and Expression of Ideas: 5x5x5=creativity

4.15 – 6pm on Thursday 20 September 2012

Artists working with 5x5x5=creativity will outline recent projects focusing on children’s creativity. There will be a discussion on the benefits for children, schools, and cultural organisations, and an invitation to become involved in future projects.

5x5x5=creativity is a highly regarded long-term action research organization dedicated to supporting children and young people in their exploration and expression of creative ideas. Research findings demonstrate the value of fostering creative enquiry by empowering children to take the lead as they explore the world around them and discover the joys of proactive learning.

Since 2000, projects have taken place in over 150 settings across 9 Local Authorities. 5x5x5=creativity are keen to develop more partnerships in the Kingston area.  For more information on the work of 5x5x5=creativity please see www.5x5x5creativity.org.uk
