About Me

My name is James Aldridge and I am a visual artist and creative learning consultant, based in rural Wiltshire, UK.

This blog is my way of sharing my work in education, arts, environment and heritage, and my thoughts and questions on the relationship between these areas.

Its an informal opportunity to give you updates on specific projects and to put new ideas down on ‘paper’ through words and pictures.

They had books from the Royal artillery (quite upsetting, poems and all sorts alongside the history of the regiment…)), the war artists, really amazing to feel the history represented in holding these old books….

    James,
I have just spent an hour browsing through your sites and I am inspired! I work in a Botanical Garden in South Carolina (but I’m from Kent) and I love your emphasis on celebrating and honoring place through art and creativity. I just wanted to say thank you. Sue

    • Thank you Sue, I’m really pleased to hear that. You put these offerings out into the world and don’t often know who sees them, or is inspired by them, so I very much appreciate your feedback!
      James
